Opening Weekend in North Lake Tahoe at Northstar California

Ladies and gents, wax your skis and boards, dust off your goggles, and grab your balaclava, because the 2016 winter ski season has officially arrived. Raise a ski pole (or hot toddy) if you're as excited as I am!

Thanksgiving week saw many Lake Tahoe ski resorts opening, including Northstar California, which opened the day before Thanksgiving. And timing couldn't have been better. What better way to take a break on Thanksgiving day or opt outside on Black Friday? And then to top it all off, it snowed more than a foot to end the weekend. Powder days are the best days, right?

Needless to say, stoke level on opening day was high, and it continued through the weekend. Below you'll find a little glimpse of Northstar California's opening weekend from yours truly and Northstar's snow reporters, Craig and Ahlani.
