November around Lake Tahoe in photos

November in Lake Tahoe: The air gets cooler, the days get shorter, and snow chasers really start getting excited. As soon as that first snowfall hits, the beanies, puffy jackets, and Gore-Tex boots come out.

And along with that initial snowfall is the return of conversations about incoming storms, snow projections, and new winter gear. Daily conversations begin with things like, "Just picked up a new pair of pow skis" and "Fired up the snowblower for the first time this season." And perhaps the most asked question, "Did you get your ski pass yet?"

Needless to say, winter excitement is running high come this time of year. But even still, November is a great month of showing off the best of Lake Tahoe. Here's what we're talking about:

What I found when I took the long way today. Always take the long way (more on my Story!).

Paul, a Southern California transplant now Truckee Local, is an occasional writer, blogger, photographer and full time adventurer. From glassy waves of the Los Angeles-South Bay to manicured mountain bike trails of Whistler B.C., Paul is always on the search for the best of what nature has to offer. The sub-culture stories of snow, dirt and waves are what Paul enjoys capturing and wants to share with others. When he’s not chasing snow or biking in Truckee/Tahoe, you can find him shoveling (hopefully feet) of snow or tinkering around in the garage.
