This Christmas, I asked Santa for the gift of snow and it looks like he's going to deliver! That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, a beautiful winter storm is coming our way that could give us more than two feet of snow by Christmas morning. Cue music: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
It’s been another busy week here at Northstar California and we are proud to say that our team hit the ground running to open as much terrain as possible. Northstar has been regularly operating 18 lifts, giving access to 51 awesome trails! Our groomers, ski patrol, and terrain park teams have been working hard to open new terrain every single day, so keep an eye on Northstar's website for the latest trail information.
Insider tip: Castle Peak is on the schedule to open tomorrow!
Among the newly opened trails is Logger’s Loop (Blue), which is back and better than ever with twice the width as previous years! The quickest way to access this trail is by heading up Vista Express and taking a skiers left when you get off the chair. However, my favorite route is from the top of Comstock Express. On lazy days, I like to take a minute and relax with friends at the Summit Bar and Grill before making my way down East Ridge (Blue) and connecting to Logger’s Loop.
I love East Ridge because it offers so many trail options that fit any set of conditions. Pining for fresh snow? Then swing a left off East Ridge and float down Powder Bowl (black). Had a long day and ready for an early après–ski sesh? Then cruise down East Ridge to tōst at 2pm for a glass of complementary (and well-deserved) champagne. Meanwhile, take your time to enjoy the breathtaking views that East Ridge has to offer.
