March around Lake Tahoe in photos

Spring has sprung in Lake Tahoe. But not before a record winter of snow continued to bring even more throughout the month of March. Just at Northstar California, the summit received 79 inches of snow over the course of 10 snowy days. The other 21 days were characterized by warm temperatures and abundant sunshine. A perfect month of spring skiing in North Lake Tahoe!

Needless to say, March was definitely a great month for springtime activities. It's one of those rare times of year where you can be in fresh snow on the mountain in the morning, and paddling Lake Tahoe in the afternoon. That's not something you can do just anywhere.

But April is shaping up to be just as epic. Although the end of the season is quickly approaching, there are plenty of exciting activities and events to look forward to, such as end-of-season pond skims and the Spring It On! CANtina: Canned Craft Beer Tasting. Plus, it's time to dust off those hiking boots, mountain bike, and paddleboard. Bring on the sunny skies and good times, April!
