Max and Kelly: A father-daughter take on Lake Tahoe

This past winter we met father daughter duo, Max and Kelly, riding up the Backside Express lift at Northstar. Chairlift conversations are always interesting, but Max and Kelly's story especially stood out. Max is one of those superhero dads who truly cherishes every moment spent with his daughter. As such, he makes sure those moments are particularly memorable.

So when Max and his wife, Jinjing Wang, decided to give Kelly a ski lesson as a present for her third birthday, Max booted up right alongside her, and a father-daughter tradition was born! Now 5 years old, Kelly is advancing quickly on the Northstar Ski Team and loves everything, from powder skiing to park laps. Max and Kelly ski together every week during the Lake Tahoe winter ski season, and they even participated in Gunbarrel 25 together (a 25-lap race course down one of Heavenly’s mogul runs).

Check out their full story below. And to all you fathers out there, just like Max, sharing their love of the outdoors with your children, you are truly incredible. We thank you.
