May around Lake Tahoe in photos

Summer is in, winter is out. Winter, however, didn't go quietly into the night. While it was starting to look and feel a lot like summer during the month of May, Lake Tahoe still saw some lingering snow flurries. Nonetheless, as the official start of summer nears, it's making way for warmer, sunnier days.

May has long been one of my favorite months around Lake Tahoe. For starters, it's one of the prettiest months during a good snow year when snow continues to cover many mountaintops. That's even more the case this year following a record-breaking winter. But what I perhaps love the most about May is that it often has all of the semblance of summer, but without the bustle of the peak summer season.

And the photos on Instagram from around Lake Tahoe this past month showed just how beautiful of a month this past May was.  But enough talking about it. See some of our favorite photos from May around Lake Tahoe below.

Great run in the mountains today🏔When traveling to high altitude remember to hydrate BEFORE you arrive 💦
