August around Lake Tahoe in photos

Winter is coming, seriously. It's hard to believe that summer is nearly over. Say it ain't so! But before winter comes, there are the glories of autumn to come, like crisp starry nights, less crowded beach days on Lake Tahoe, and of course, Lake Tahoe's premier food festival, Lake Tahoe Autumn Food and Wine Festival.

But before summer officially leaves the building, it's time to look back at August. It's hard to argue the beauty of August around Lake Tahoe. Remnants of winter are long gone (albeit this year was an exception following the record-breaking winter), trails are at tip-top shape, the lake is full, rivers are flowing, and the sunsets are as beautiful as ever. And this past month was no exception, as my Instagram feed proved.

So as summer heads into the home stretch, check out some of our favorite photos from the month of August around Lake Tahoe. I can't wait to see what September has in store. Autumn is coming.

Ok, Tahoe. You got me.
