Simply put, 2017 has been a year to remember around Lake Tahoe. A record-breaking winter made way for an exceptional season of spring skiing, followed by a beautiful, and very well-deserved summer.
And September didn't disappoint. This last month saw Lake Tahoe treated to a taste of every season. A California heat wave marked the first week of the month, with a string of 80-degree days, which was followed mere days later by measurable snowfall on the last afternoon of summer (yes, seriously). Nevertheless, the end of September saw that autumn-like weather that most people have come to expect for this time of year.
The photos from around Lake Tahoe during September reflect just how unique of a month it was. Lazy lake days, adventurous mornings, snowy afternoons, and colorful evenings filled our Instagram feeds. What will October have in store? Meanwhile, see a few of our favorite photos below from September around Lake Tahoe.
First time to the Northstar/Truckee area that I can remember and what a beautiful place. Just one of those areas that's great anytime of year. While the forest fire haze from nearby areas can reduce visibility during the day, it certainly can make for some amazing sunsets. 🌄🌲 #nikonphotography #northstarattahoe
